Understanding Your Ballpark Estimate

HOW TO READ THE ESTIMATE

1. Our ballpark estimates the project cost using cabinets found in Mod Cabinetry’s curated catalog. Keep in mind that we may not offer some of the cabinets in your designs.
2. The ballpark is retail pricing. Your promo codes or other discount benefits are not reflected. Apply your discounts to the ballpark if applicable.
3. We show options for each of price points we offer. We also show you three different price points:
  • Basic: Cabinets that fall into ‘basic’ estimate are generally simple designs, with few drawers, minimal finished ends, no glass cabinets, and an equal mix of wall and base cabinets.
  • Average: Most of our clients fall into the ‘Average’ estimate. These designs have a moderate amount of drawers and finished ends, potentially glass cabinets, and an equal mix of wall cabinets and base cabinets.
  • Extras: Cabinets that fall ‘Extras’ estimate will have a lot of drawer cabinets, mostly base cabinets, and/or wall cabinets with glass.
4. Additional charges not reflected in the ballpark: Shipping to the nearest warehouse is included in the price. The ‘final mile’ charges from the warehouse to your home is priced out separately. The actual charges depend on your distance from the warehouse and the service you want. We generally see it between $150-$400. We only collect sales tax from cabinets that are delivered in California. Please add customary tax for your area if the cabinets are shipping to California. If you are outside of California we do not collect sales tax.

WHAT’S DIFFERENT ABOUT MOD CABINETRY?

There are hundreds of cabinetry brands in the marketplace and it can be very difficult to find their exact specifications and how they differ from one another. Many brands use misleading terms such as “Built in the USA”, “Made in the USA with globally sourced Products” etc., when in reality most components are made in China. The problem? The parts and chemicals are not disclosed, quality is not tightly controlled and doesn’t necessarily follow more stringent US standards.
We do things differently.
  • Mod is sourced, manufactured and built in the USA, giving you the assurance that craftsmanship is solid, the working conditions are respectable, and that there are no hidden toxic ingredients.
  • We use only waterbased paints and finishes to ensure that no chemicals offgas in your home.
  • We choose 3/4″ Purebond Hardwood Plywood made by Columbia Forest Products for the casework because of its high quality, formaldehyde-free and soy-based glues, and because it is fully made in the USA.
  • We use glides and hinges by Blum, a high-end German brand also produced in the USA.
  • We make the drawer boxes with 5/8″ solid maple with dovetail finishing.

All together, Mod Cabinetry embodies truly modern non-toxic cabinetry, entirely made in the USA. Values that all of us can get behind.
