Sample Disclaimers

Cabinetry samples are small hand samples provided solely to demonstrate general material, texture, finish, and color tone. Samples are not cabinets, are not scaled representations, and do not represent a complete kitchen, room, or finished installation.

Samples are intended to give an overall sense of how a finish may appear, but they are not intended to match every door, cabinet, or component within a completed project.

Natural Material Variations

Wood is a natural material and will exhibit inherent variations in color tone, grain pattern, mineral streaking, knots, and character. These variations are normal and expected and will differ from:

  • The hand sample
  • Door-to-door
  • Cabinet-to-cabinet
  • One area of the kitchen to another

No two pieces of wood are identical, and these variations are not defects.

Paint & Stain Finishes

Paints and stains are custom mixed and applied per production run and per project. As a result:

  • Finished cabinetry may vary slightly from the sample
  • Color tone may shift based on wood species, substrate, grain absorption, lighting, and sheen
  • Touch-ups, additional cabinetry, or future orders may not be an exact match

All reasonable efforts are made to match cabinetry within industry-accepted tolerances using control samples, but exact matches cannot be guaranteed.

Lighting & Environment

Color perception is influenced by:

  • Natural vs. artificial lighting
  • Room orientation and window exposure
  • Surrounding materials (floors, counters, backsplash, wall color)

Samples viewed in isolation or under different lighting conditions may appear different once installed.

Acceptance of Variations

By reviewing and approving cabinetry samples, the client acknowledges and accepts that:

  • Samples are indicative only, not exact
  • Finished cabinetry will include natural and finish-related variations
  • Variations between samples and installed cabinetry are normal, expected, and acceptable

Samples are provided for design reference purposes only and are not a guarantee of exact color, grain, or finish outcome.
