Exclusions from Warranty Coverage:

While we strive to ensure the highest quality, some natural and environmental factors are not covered under this warranty. Please see the “Exclusions from Warranty Coverage” section for a detailed list of conditions that are not covered. The following are not covered under the warranty:

  1. Natural Variations:
    • Natural variations in wood, including grain, color, texture, and mineral streaks. Each wood species, including Walnut, Cherry, Maple, Rift Oak, Alder, and Sapele, exhibits distinctive patterns such as grain variances, mineral streaks, knots, and birdseyes. Differences within the same doors, panels, and cabinetry elements as well as within the cabinetry project as a whole are to be expected and are not considered defects. Such variations do not qualify for product replacement.
  2. Samples and Photographic Representation
    • The images of finishes on this website are for general reference only. Variations in color, texture, and tone may occur due to lighting conditions and monitor or printer limitations. The final product may differ from online representations.
    •  Samples are for general guidance and are not an exact match for the final product. Due to the inherent characteristics of natural wood and the nature of the handcrafted finishing process, variations in color, grain, texture, and finish between samples and the final product are both expected and unavoidable. Samples provide only a limited representation of the final product, as they cannot fully capture the natural diversity found in wood. Larger installations will naturally display greater variation as different pieces of wood, each with its own unique grain and color characteristics, are combined.
    • Color chips, small sample doors, or digital representations cannot accurately reflect the full depth, tone, and pattern that may emerge in the final cabinetry and that these natural variations in wood and finish are not considered defects these  will not be grounds for replacement, repair, or refund.
  3. Natural Aging:
    • The natural aging process, including darkening, mellowing, or color changes in wood over time. Natural color variation occurs within and between wood species, and this variation can be influenced by environmental factors such as lighting. Changes in wood color due to aging, darkening, or exposure to light are expected and are not covered under warranty. These changes are inherent to the natural aging process of wood.
    • All painted finishes, especially lighter colors, are subject to natural color changes over time due to environmental exposure, including sunlight, artificial light, airborne particles, and moisture. These changes are not defects.
    • Stained wood may also change color over time due to similar factors. Cabinets added at a later date may not exactly match previously installed cabinetry, as wood ages and changes color naturally.
  4. Improper Storage and Installation:
    • Items that have been improperly stored or improperly installed.
    • Cabinetry installed outdoors or in environments not suitable for indoor cabinetry.
  5. Improper Use and Care:
    • Damage or defects caused by misuse, abuse, negligence, or modification in any way.
    • Damage due to improper cleaning, maintenance, or misuse of cabinetry. Proper care is essential to preserve the appearance and structural integrity of your cabinetry. Harsh cleaners (e.g., bleach, ammonia) or abrasive materials can damage cabinetry finishes. Use only wood cleaners with a soft cloth, and dry cabinets thoroughly after cleaning to prevent moisture damage, particularly at joints and edges
    • Damages caused by environmental conditions, such as excessive humidity, heat, or other extreme factors. Cabinets near heat sources like ovens or stoves can experience cracking, discoloration, or finish degradation. Humidity can cause wood to swell or warp, particularly in areas like bathrooms, adjacent to dishwashers or kitchens with poor ventilation. We recommend using exhaust fans and dehumidifiers to control moisture levels and wiping down cabinets immediately after exposure to water
  6. Normal Wear and Tear Normal wear and tear refers to the gradual deterioration of cabinetry that occurs from regular, everyday use. These changes are natural and not considered defects. Below are common examples of normal wear and tear, which are not covered under warranty:
    • Water Damage from Countertops:  Water drips from countertops onto cabinetry surfaces, particularly around sinks or dishwashers. Over time, this can cause minor swelling or warping of wood due to repeated exposure to moisture. Preventative care includes wiping spills immediately to avoid long-term damage.
    • Scratches and Nicks: Scratches from nails, rings, or everyday kitchen utensils (like pots and pans) are common in high-use areas, such as around handles or drawers. These minor surface imperfections are expected as part of normal use. Installing drawer liners or handling heavy items carefully can help minimize this.
    • Surface Wear:  Over time, cabinet doors may develop wear marks from repeated opening and closing, especially in high-traffic areas of the kitchen. Similarly, edges of doors and drawers may show signs of wear, such as slight dulling or small chips.
  7. Labor and Related Costs:
    • Labor costs for the removal or installation of replacement cabinets or materials.
    • Costs associated with removing warranted material or installing replacement material are not covered.

DESIGN DISCLAIMER

Disclaimer for Photographic Representations

The images of finishes on this website are for general reference only. Please be aware that the appearance of finishes may vary depending on lighting conditions (both direct and indirect) and the limitations of computer monitors and printers. Colors, textures, and tones displayed online are not an exact representation of the final product.

Disclaimer for Samples

While physical samples provide a close representation of our products, natural variations in color, grain, and texture will occur. These variations are inherent to the use of natural materials such as wood, and each piece is unique. As a result, the final product may differ slightly from the samples you review.

We strongly recommend using samples as a general guide, but please understand that no two pieces will be identical. Variations in lighting, finishes, and the natural aging process can also affect the final appearance. These differences are not defects but a reflection of the authentic character and beauty of natural materials.

Disclaimer for Wood: Walnut, Cherry, Maple, Rift Oak, Alder, and Sapele

Wood is a natural material, and the beauty of each species lies in the uniqueness of every piece. Variations in grain, color, texture, and the presence of mineral streaks or distinctive graining patterns are inherent characteristics of hardwoods such as Walnut, Cherry, Maple, Rift Oak, Alder, and Sapele. These natural variations, including features like birdseye, blister, burl, and other figuring, are prized for their contribution to the distinctive appearance and character of the wood.

The way each wood type—whether Walnut with its deep tones, Cherry with its rich patina, or Rift Oak with its clean lines—accepts stains or finishes will differ, creating unique outcomes that should be embraced rather than viewed as defects. These variations are natural and should be expected in doors, panels, and other cabinetry elements. As such, differences in grain patterns, color, or texture between pieces, or even within the same project, are not considered defects and will not be grounds for product replacement.

Disclaimer for Slab Wood Door & Drawer Fronts

Slab doors and drawer fronts are crafted using real wood veneer applied to an MDF core, a method chosen to prevent warping while maintaining the beauty of real wood. Each wood veneer is unique, and variations in grain pattern are expected. Solid wood furniture or other materials may display different grain patterns, which are not replicated in veneer products.

Please note that grain matching across cabinets is not offered. Each door and drawer front will display its own individual grain pattern, contributing to the overall uniqueness of the product.

Disclaimer for Environmental Factors

All wood and painted finishes are susceptible to changes due to environmental conditions, such as fluctuations in temperature and humidity. These natural factors may cause expansion, contraction, or slight warping of materials over time. These changes are inherent to natural materials and are not considered defects. We recommend controlling environmental conditions to minimize these effects and to ensure the longevity of your cabinetry.

Disclaimer for Care and Maintenance

Proper care and maintenance are essential for preserving the appearance and performance of your cabinetry. Excessive exposure to moisture, direct sunlight, high humidity, extreme heat, or improper cleaning can lead to unwanted changes in both the finish and structural integrity of your cabinetry.

High Humidity:

High humidity levels (above 60%) can cause wood to swell or warp over time. For example, cabinetry installed in bathrooms, laundry rooms, or kitchens with poor ventilation may be more susceptible to these effects. To prevent this, we recommend using proper ventilation (e.g., exhaust fans) and dehumidifiers in areas with high moisture levels. Ensure cabinets are wiped down immediately after exposure to steam or water, particularly around sinks and dishwashers.

Excessive Heat:

Exposing cabinetry to excessive heat can cause cracking, discoloration, or finish degradation. For example, cabinets located near ovens, stoves, or heat vents may be exposed to higher temperatures, which can damage both wood and painted finishes. To mitigate this, avoid placing cabinetry in direct proximity to heat sources, and ensure that heat-generating appliances have adequate ventilation.

Improper Cleaning:

Using harsh or abrasive cleaning agents can damage the finish and cause discoloration or surface wear. For example, using bleach, ammonia, or rough scouring pads can strip the protective coating or dull the finish of the wood. It is important to clean cabinetry with a soft cloth and mild soap or a gentle wood cleaner. Immediately dry surfaces after cleaning to avoid water damage, particularly around edges, seams, and joint lines where moisture can seep in and cause warping or cracking over time.

Disclaimer for replacements

All painted finishes, particularly lighter colors, are subject to natural color changes over time. Factors such as exposure to sunlight, artificial light, airborne particles (e.g., from cooking, tobacco smoke, or fireplaces), and moisture may alter the color of the paint over time. These changes are a normal process and not considered defects.
Over time, exposure to light, moisture, and environmental factors may affect the color and texture of stained wood, leading to gradual changes. Cabinets, doors, or panels added at a later date may not match the previously installed cabinetry due to these natural aging processes.
